Wattyl Weathergard uses the very latest technological advances which are developed and tested in Australia to ensure they suit our climate and timber varieties. Weathergard includes a range of traditional oil based finishes as well as the latest in water based technology. Wattyl has a product to suit every exterior timber project.
Choose the right product
Recommended for use when you want to achieve a transparent finish which adds a rich sheen to the timber. Oils allow the timber tone and grain to show through the finish. They protect timber by reducing the effects of water and sunlight. Oils require regular levels of maintenance (as a guide, every 6 - 12 months). read more >>
Stains achieve a semi transparent finish which add colour while still highlighting the natural grain. They are recommended when you want to subtlely change the colour of the timber. Previously painted surfaces cannot be stained. Stains require moderate levels of maintenance (as a guide, every 1 - 3 years). read more >>
Paints achieve a solid colour finish which shows the texture but hides the grain of the timber. It is recommended for adding colour to any timber surface. Paint offers the highest level of protection from the elements and requires low levels of maintenance (as a guide, every 5-7 years). read more >>
Weathergard Exterior Varnish is a high gloss, clear varnish designed to beautify and protect timber without hiding the grain. Weathergard Marine Varnish is a high gloss timber finish specially developed to protect exterior marine timber from the harsh elements. read more >>
