John W. Ingram FCPA
Chairman
 

Mr Ingram was appointed a Director in December 2001 and was appointed Chairman in April 2003. 

Mr Ingram was formerly the Managing Director of Crane Group Limited. He is the Chairman of Nick Scali Limited, Deputy Chairman of Australian Super Pty Ltd, a Director of United Group Limited and N.P. King (Hong Kong) Limited, and is the Immediate National Past President of the Australian Industry Group.  Mr Ingram is also a former Director of The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Rinker Group Limited.

 
John D. Nolan BSc (Hons) PhD
Managing Director
 

Dr Nolan was appointed Managing Director of the Company in May, 2005. 

Dr Nolan is also Non-Executive Chairman of Australian Aluminium Finishing Holdings Pty Ltd.  From 1994 to 1997, he was the Managing Director of Rockware Glass and Rockware Group in the United Kingdom before returning to Australia in 1997 as the Managing Director of BTR Industrial and Construction Group. From 1998 to 2002 he was the Managing Director of the Amatek Group, and from 2002 to 2003 he was Managing Director of the Laminex Group.

 
Urs B. Meyerhans CA (CH), CFTP (Snr)
Finance Director
 

Mr Meyerhans was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Wattyl Limited in September 2002 and as Finance Director in March 2004.

Prior to joining Wattyl, Mr Meyerhans was Chief Financial Officer of United Group Limited and has held senior financial positions in Australia and overseas.

 
Patty E. Akopiantz BA, MBA
Independent Non-Executive Director
 

Ms Akopiantz was appointed as a Director in September 2005.

 

She is a Non-Executive Director of Coles Group Limited, Energy Australia, AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited, The National Mutual Life Association of Australasia Limited and the YWCA - NSW. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women and the Australian Graduate School of Management. Ms Akopiantz is also a former Non-Executive Director of The Foundation for Young Australians. Ms Akopiantz has over 20 years senior management and consultancy experience primarily in retail and consumer industries both in Australia and overseas.

 
Michael R. Brown BEc, MBA, FCPA
Independent Non-Executive Director
 

Mr Brown was appointed as a Director in August 2003. 

He is currently Chairman of Energy Developments Limited and is a Non-Executive Director of Innamincka Petroleum Limited. Mr Brown is a former Non-Executive Director of Repco Corporation Limited and James Hardie Industries N.V.  Prior to his non-executive roles, Mr Brown was an Executive Director with Esso, Renison Goldfields, Goodman Fielder and Brambles Industries.

 
Mark Luby Dip Bus Studies

Mr Luby was appointed as a Director in March 2007 and is currently Chairman of BIS Limited. 

Prior to his role with BIS Limited, Mr Luby was Chairman of BIS Cleanaway Limited. Mr Luby spent 29 years in various senior management positions with Brambles including Senior Vice President - Business Development and President of Brambles CHEP Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa operations, where he led the European business’s restructure from 2002.

 
Jenny A.Waldegrave BBus, CA
Company Secretary
 

Ms Waldegrave joined Wattyl as group financial controller in April 2003, and was appointed company secretary in August 2005. 

 

Prior to joining Wattyl, Ms Waldegrave held various senior finance roles in the Australian and US listed technology company, Memtec Limited and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Rebecca Roberts
Group Human Resource Manager
 
Rebecca joined Wattyl in July 2005 having worked for Ford Motor Company originally in New Zealand and then in Europe for 11 years. She brings extensive Human Resources experience including Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits and Organisation Development and worked with a variety of different customers based in Manufacturing, Product Development, Sales & Marketing and Financial Services Divisions in senior roles.
 
James Fuller
General Manager - New Zealand
 

James joined Wattyl in 1995 as a result of the Taubmans acquisition from Courtaulds Coatings and has extensive experience in the paint industry in New Zealand. James has held a number of Sales Management positions within Wattyl including the National Sales Manager’s role prior to his current position.

 

James was appointed to the position of General Manager - New Zealand in February 2007.

 
Martin Robb BAppSc (Chem)
Group Operations Manager
 

Martin has worked in the paint industry since 1982 and joined Wattyl in 1992 through the acquisition of W.P. Crowhurst (Solver).  He has a background in Technical and Manufacturing and has held senior manufacturing / operations roles since 2002.   Martin was appointed to the role of Group Operations Manager in November 2006.
